A national institution since it was established in 1990, Clean Up Australia Day is on this Sunday, March 5.
The event started as a simple clean up initiative but has evolved over three decades, offering practical solutions to environmental issues and understanding the unique challenges we face with such a distinct natural environment.
Over 20 million Australians have given their time to aid the cause, and that number will only grow in 2023. Local councils all around Real Sydney are holding Clean Up Australia Day events, including:
- Parramatta: Multiple locations, Bushwalk tracks.
- Driftway Reserve, Pemulwuy (9am)
- Holroyd Gardens, Merrylands (9am)
- Civic Park, Pendle Hill (9am)
- Livvi's Place Elara, Marsden Park (1030am)
- George Campbell Riverside Park, Ermington (930am)
- Everly Park, Chester Hill (8am)
- North Rocks Park, Carlingford (12pm)
- Bella Vista Farm Park, Bella Vista (10am)
- Kileen Street, Auburn (10am)
- Olympic Park, Homebush (9am)
