The NSWRL's Grand Final Day at Leichhardt delivered some enthralling contests that went down to the wire, but few were more thrilling than Mounties' one-point win over Canterbury in the NSW Women's Premiership.

Despite a plethora of tryscoring opportunities both ways, remarkable defence kept the game scoreless until the final five minutes, when Mulga halfback Matilda Power kicked the field goal that would ultimately prove the difference in a captivating 1-0 win.

Canterbury featured in three of the four deciders and went home with the honours in the Harold Matthews Grand Final, cruising to a 32-6 win over Newcastle. Meanwhile, the SG Ball final between Parramatta and the Knights was a more close-run affair, with a tense back-and-forth seeing the teams tied at the half-time break, before the Eels finally grabbed the ascendancy early in the second half and held on.

In the Tarsha Gale Cup the Bulldogs surged to an early lead thanks to three tries in 10 minutes for a handy half-time lead - but they were ultimately reeled in by the Roosters' Indigenous Academy, thanks to a late try to five-eighth Brooke Talataina.
