The NSW State Government and Penrith City Council have confirmed the decision to allocate $152 million for several projects in Western Sydney as part of the government’s $5 billion WestInvest program - headlined by the construction of an indoor-multi sports arena in Claremont Meadows.

The venue will accommodate all levels of sport, from local junior competitions through to national events.

The new arena will include

- 10 multi-sport courts
- Squash courts with movable walls
- Multi-use rooms
- A covered outdoor roller rink
- A wide array of various outdoor recreation spaces and facilities.

The site will be a welcome addition to a number of new developments in the area, as the Western Sydney Airport draws closer to its official opening date.

The project will also include 21 city-wide playground upgrades and a number of other developments, and will be a hand location for sporting clubs seeking all-weather facilities that aren’t impeded by conditions.
