Transport for NSW has confirmed that two new red light speed cameras will be built on western Sydney roads in Penrith and Liverpool between now and the end of August.
The Penrith camera will be built on Mulgoa Road at the intersection of Ransley Street, monitoring northbound traffic coming past BlueBet Stadium, while the Liverpool location will be on Elizabeth Drive at the intersection of Flowerdale Road, facing eastbound.
PENRITH: The Penrith camera will be installed over 13 shifts, weather permitting, with a mix of day and night works to be completed. Day works will occur between 7am and 5pm on July 24 and August 28, while night work shifts will occur between 8pm-5am in three sessions - July 24-27, August 1-3 and August 7-10.
LIVERPOOL: The Liverpool camera will also be installed over 13 shifts, with five Saturday sessions from 7am-1pm between July 24 and August 28, and eight day time shifts between 7am and 6pm on weekdays.
The construction of both new cameras will require temporary lane closures, traffic control and speed limit reductions to 40km/h in the immediate vicinity.
