RON MASSEY CUP
There are just two undefeated teams left in the Ron Massey Cup after the Glebe Dirty Reds got past Ryde-Eastwood in a hard-fought contest at Lidcombe Oval.
The boot of Glebe centre Devon Makaore-Boyce was decisive after both teams scored four tries, with the extra conversions proving the difference. Glebe and St Marys sit atop the ladder after the Saints enjoyed the bye. It was also the last game for Reds captain Jackson Garlick.
Meanwhile Mounties are finally off the mark, beating the Silkatils in emphatic fashion behind doubles to Roman Ioelu, Freddy Kini and Lorenzo Mulitalo. Ioelu finished the dominant display with a personal tally of 16 points.
Wentworthville are still in touch with the top four thanks to an important win over Brothers, while Hills continue to climb, heaping more misery on the Bulldogs who remain firmly rooted to the bottom of the ladder.
Things don’t get any easier for the Dogs, who’ll host the ladder-leading Reds next week, while St Marys return to action in an important clash against the wounded Hawks.

Cabramatta sit atop the Sydney Shield ladder despite having a game in hand thanks to a thrilling two-point win over Mounties, with five-eighth Brandon Maycock kicking the visitors to victory.
