One of the newest and most iconic buildings in the Parramatta skyline is celebrating this weekend, with the eye-catching PHIVE library and civic hub marking its first birthday on Saturday, September 23 from 10am-5pm.
Having already earned international recognition for its innovative design and attracted over 400,000 visitors to the region, Parramatta City will mark the occasion with a number of activities and events full of family fun.
The headlining event will be a kids carnival, with circus workshops, cake decorating and plenty of games, held in the Public Domain outside for the duration of the event. Kids will also be able to enjoy VR experiences and 3D printing at 'Ideas!'.
Staff will also be offering fully guided tours of the building and facilities, covering the art installations, heritage displays and everything in-between. There will also be an art workshop for all ages and stage performances, as well as a cocktail and gin event for the 18+ audience.
Though the event itself is free, some of the offerings may require a reservation or ticket purchase. For more information, visit the PHIVE website.
