The fight for finals places is heating up in the Ron Massey Cup, with Glebe's last-minute win over Hills Bulls lifting them to second place with just two regular season games remaining.
The Dirty Reds move a step higher on the ladder after Wentworthville were outclassed by St Marys in their top of the table clash, leaving the Saints looking unstoppable in what could still become a remarkable undefeated season.
Mounties are out of the race after stumbling against last-placed Canterbury, who secured just their third win of the season, while the Silktails continued their remarkable home form to stay well-placed for a post-season surge. They overcame the Hawks, who are still well-placed for a finals berth.
In the Sydney Shield, Moorebank's season is all but over after a disappointing defeat against Mounties, while the Saints piled more misery on Wenty with another big win. The contest between Glebe and Hills once again went down to the wire, but it was the Bulls who would emerge victorious. Meanwhile Ryde's upset win over Cabramatta keeps their slim finals hopes alive for another week.
