UPDATE: The Penrith and Wollongong legs of this tour have been abruptly cancelled, with another show in the Sydney CBD announced.
With a string of multi-platinum albums over a span of 30 years, acclaimed US-outfit The Smashing Pumpkins are bringing their ‘The World is a Vampire’ tour to Penrith in April 2023, along with fellow rock legends Jane’s Addiction, demonstrating the increasing appeal of western Sydney for international acts and events.
Touring in support of their 2022 Operatic Album 'Atum', the Pupmkins will be playing at the Nepean Aerospace Park at the International Regatta Centre on April 29, alongside a number of revered Aussie acts including Amyl & The Sniffers, Redhook and Battlesnake - with plenty more to be announced.
As well as the usual music festival entertainment, eating and merchandising, the festival will also offer something unique, with professional wrestling matches between Smashing Pumpkins lead singer Billy Corgan's' National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and our own Wrestling Alliance of Australia (WAOA).
Tickets to the Penrith event on April 29 are still on sale but going fast.
