Silktails shine as Wentworthville take flight; NSWL wrap

The Kaiviti Silktails are making the most of their recent home stand, winning their third straight game with a massive win over the visiting Glebe Dirty Reds.

Prop Stefanaia Bola grabbed a double in the victory, which takes the Fijian side to fifth place on the ladder.

Meanwhiel the unbeaten Saints had to work hard to preserve their record, claiming a hard-fought victory in their local derby against Brothers, while Wentworthville and Ryde both maintained their place in the top four with wins.

The Hawks' win over Mounties was a fiery encounter, with two players sent to the sin bin and Hawks fullback Zach Mackay sent off - but that couldn't stop Ryde walking away with the spoils to remain in third place on the ladder.

In the Sydney Shield the clash between Cabramatta and Glebe went down the wire, with Cabra securing a two-point win thanks to doubles to Emosi Alamoti and Tyson Chase.

Meanwhile the ladder-leading Saints endured a back-and-forth battle against Brothers, with a late try to winger Kaleb Farr proving the difference. The Hawks and Hills also secured big wins.
