An anthology film that shares eight interconnecting stories in Western Sydney, you can catch a community screening of 2022 film 'Here Out West' at the Campbelltown Arts Centre Saturday, March 11 at 4pm.
The drama tells the story of a desperate grandmother who kidnaps a baby from hospital - which sets off a chain of events that brings people together from across the community. Shot entirely in Blacktown, the film features eight intertwined stories told in nine languages, painting a unique picture of life in Sydney's west and the connections we have to each other.
There will also be a preview of a brand new project, 'From All Sides' - another feature project shot entirely in Campbelltown. There will also be a Q&A with local writer and director Bina Bhattachary, who wrote one of the stories in the anthology, and actor Arka Das, who starred in the film.
Popcorn and snacks will also be available at the free event.
If you're unable to attend the event but still want to watch the film, 'Here Out West' is available on ABC iView, or check out the trailer here.
