With temperatures regularly nesting in the 30s this summer and with more warm temperatures to come as we move to Autumn, we've compiled this collection of some of the best (and totally free) splash parks in Real Sydney, to help you and your family beat the heat.

We've also included an extended list to include as many local splash parks as we can - but let us know if we've missed any!

Most importantly, no matter where you're going this weekend, make sure you stay sun safe.

James Ruse Water Playground, Hassall St Parramatta

A large and heavily shaded water play area in a central Parramatta location, with plenty of equipment for kids of all ages. There are also abundant picnic and seating areas, as well as a nearby skate park for kids who'd rather stay dry.

Cirillo Water Park, Statnte Cl, Middleton Grange

A new water play area for the Liverpool region, the Cirillo Water Park in Middleton Grange has a wide range of water play facilities and is also heavily shaded. Includes changerooms and showers as well as the usual playground amenities.

Phoenix Reserve, Phoenix Cl, Erskine Park

A smaller park tucked away in western Sydney suburbia, the Phoenix Reserve Water Park ticks all the important boxes, with a nice array of gentle water play options as well as shade and picnic areas. Also a short walk from the local shopping precinct and restaurants.

Dawson-Damer Park, O'Toole Ave, Oran Park

The largest water play park in the area, with brand new amenities, heaps of shade, water slides, and even a ninja warrior course. Also has basketball courts, trampolines, picnic areas and plenty of shade. Wet play wheelchairs are also available.

Francis Park, Showground Precinct, Blacktown

The Blacktown Showground precinct is massive, with multiple shaded play areas available, as well as water puzzles, flying foxes and more. Abundant parking and a (very) nearby café make this a great option for parents and families.

The best of the rest

While these five take the top places, there are a number of other locations available to families throughout Real Sydney. Here are some of the best:

  • Curry Reserve, 24 Camden Valley Way, Elderslie
  • Governor Phillip Park, George Street, Windsor
  • Livvi's Place, 1 Discovery Way, Jordan Springs
  • Livvi's Place, Elara Blvd, Marsden Park
  • Livvi's Place, Marella Ave, Kellyville
  • Livvi's Place, Ollie Webb Reserve, Parramatta
  • Deerbrush Park, Fairfield Showground
  • Blaxland Riverside, Sydney Olympic Park
  • Meadowbank Park, Constitution Rd, Meadowbank
  • Bigge Park, 124 Bigge St, Liverpool
  • Nurragingy Reserve, Knox Rd, Doonside
  • Werrington Lakes, Burton St, Werrington

If we've missed anything, don't hesitate to let us know!
