Despite winning their last regular season game, the Western Sydney Two Blues' Shute Shield campaign has ended in disappointment, missing out on the last finals place by a mere two competition points.

The Two Blues were in a three-way race for the final spot in the finals. Though they got the result they were after with a win over West Harbour, they still missed sixth place after Gordon secured a big and unexpected win over Sydney Uni.

Despite the result, the 2023 campaign was full of positives for the Western Sydney team, like scrum half Rilloy Suesue, who finished the season in third place on the competition's top tryscorer charts. His brother and flyhalf Reece finished in the top ten in both conversions and penalty goals.

Northern Suburbs claimed the minor premiership, despite finishing level on competition points with Randwick.
