The Rooty Hill Coliseum continues to grow into Sydney's hottest live music venue, with American folk rock legendDon McLean coming to Sydney's west on April 22.

McLean is celebrating the 50th anniversary of his definitive track 'American Pie', the renowned eight-minute saga about the changing face of American life and the nation's collective loss of innocence as the 1970s came along - but he'll also be playing his other hits including 'Vincent' and 'Castles in the Air', as well as his own interpretations of a number of classic tracks from the American songbook.

Unlike many live acts, McLean is renowned for bringing no setlist to the show. While all the hits will be played, McLean typically follows an impromptu structure of songs he thinks the crowd will want to hear, ensuring that each and every show is a unique experience shared exclusively between the artist and audience.

TIckets for the show are available from the Sydney Coliseum website or Ticketek.
