Western Sydney Film Festival to take place in Penrith
Calling all aspiring filmmakers, actors and directors - entries are being accepted now.

The 2023 Starburst Western Sydney Film Festival comes to Penrith's Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre ('The Joan') in April, showcasing the region's best local film-makers in a number of categories.
But if you want to enter, you need to know that entries close on the 22nd of March. Entry forms are available from the Starburst Film Festival website.
Sponsored by Penrith City Council and Screen NSW, there are three categories open for entry.

All successful entrants will be notified shortly after the submission deadline, and all films selected will win an award.
There will also be a number of talks over the course of the weekend as part of the Starburst Filmmaking Symposium, offering insights into some of the biggest industry-related challenges faced by aspiring filmmakers, with tips and advice from industry professionals with experience in everything from screenwriting to digital production.
The Film Festival will be held at The Joan in Penrith on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
