An ANZAC Day institution, two-up is a straightforward game that has become synonymous with our servicemen and women as well as our day of commemoration.
Despite the game's modern popularity, its origins stem back to the convict era and, before that, the poorer communities in 18th century England and Ireland. It's a simple game, with punters betting on how the two flipped coins will land when tossed from the 'Kip'.
The game became popular among Australian troops during wartime, and a love of the game quickly flourished around the country despite being illegal.
Though the popularity of the game started to dwindle after World War II thanks to the arrival of poker machines and other forms of gambling, it has become a common feature of ANZAC Day commemorations around the country, when the public playing of the game is permitted at RSL clubs and pubs.
But while a number of venues are hosting two-up events on the day - not all of them are. So to save you some hassle before the morning in question, we've put together a list of a wide-range of local pubs and clubs who'll be hosting the popular game on the day.
