Quakers Hill Little Athletics Centre has multiple causes for celebration this week after a successful weekend for local talent at the 2023 Australian Junior Track and Field Championships in Brisbane.

The achievements were headlined by Isaac Beacroft, who set a new Australian under-18s record in the 5000m walk, breaking the old mark - which had stood for 25 years - by over 15 seconds despite competing in the under-17 event. It continues a rich vein of form for Beacroft, who broke the 3000m record at the All Schools Championships back in 2022 and has also excelled in a number of other events.

Beacroft wasn't the only one to taste success, with prodigious young talent Kalisi Aualitiia taking home the top honour for the Hammer Throw in both the under-14 (3kg - 52.11m) and under-15 (4kg - 44.76m) men's events.

Not to be outdone, young women's star Hanna Masic also took home a national title, finishing first in the women's under-14s Hammer Throw of 39.17m.
